Its Wednesday & the SXSW music festival really starts to get going fully today. The NPR music showcase this evening is one of the more anticipated of the week featuring, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs & Alt-J amongst others. Here is the full list - please note these are the American times, so if you are here in the UK & want to watch -then add on the appropriate time difference, drink lot of coffee and get ready for a late one (but worth it in our opinion!!!)

One of our favourite SXSW annual broadcasts/parties comes from the KEXP radio station based in Seattle (get on www.kexp.org and have a listen - we are regular listeners here in Manchester, UK and they also have an excellent selection of archived live in studio performances - make sure you check them out). Anyway, this year looks like another top line-up for their SXSW broadcast listed below is the lineup with links to youtube videos for each artist (just click on the name) for you to have a listen to! Having seen My Morning Jacket last year - I know how well Jim James (the MMJ frontman) can sing - he's about to release a new solo album and plays SXSW this year too. We would recommend seeing him if you can!

After breaking through in the UK in 2012 - Jake Bugg is announced to play at SXSW.

Based in New York, but with members hailing from England, Germany & the US - Haerts are good synthpop/rock to listen out for at this years SXSW.

Another highlight is Queen Kwong from LA - dirty female fronted scuzzy rock
